M-100 Series Multi Media filters FRP media with Auto Head
Celar Water Equipment Co LLC manufactures and assembles multimedia filters for pretreatment application. Multimedia filters clarify water by removing sediment, turbidity, iron, unpleasant tastes and odors, suspended particles, and unwanted color, all of which are commonly found in surface water. They can be used in a variety of service conditions including, but not limited to: industrial, municipal, and institutional applications.
Standard Features
- Structural FRP tanks suitable for 10 Bar pressure rating
- Media mounted on Mild steel epoxy coated skid
- 230V/1Ph/50Hz power supply for the control head
- Automatic backwash valve
- Operating pressure: 30 – 125 psi (2 – 8.6 bars)
- Operating temperature: 41° – 122° F (5° – 50° C)
- Time controller for backwash cycle according to a pre-set schedule
- Flow controller to limit backwash flow
- All internals are plastic materials
- For higher flow rate, combination of 2 / 3 / 4 or 5 media can be clubbed in parallel operation

- Feed pumps as duty or duty standby configuration for inlet water supply
- Control panel for feed pump control, cyclic changeover
- Low and high level switch for feed and product tanks

Available Multimedia configuration in M-100 Series
Above series can be converted to following type media filter configuration:
- Sand Filter – Multi Media filter with 100% sand as per above details
- Anthracite – Multimedia filter with 30% top layer of Anthracite. It recommended as a filter medium where additional silica in the water is not desirable and remove lighter weight turbidity.
- Activated Carbon – Multi Media filter with 50% top layer of activated carbon. Activated carbon medium is used to remove taste, odor and chlorine and used in many drinking water applications
- Manganese Sand – Multimedia filter with 50% top layer of Manganese sand. Manganese / Greensand media is treated siliceous material for treating water containing iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide.
- Calcite Filter – Multimedia filter with 50% of Calcite layer. Calcite media is specially graded calcium carbonate compound for neutralizing acid with consistent dissolving rates for water treatment.
